Biografia
Born in Warsaw (Poland), the Italian/Polish artist Gilberto Giardini studied set and costume design at Rome’s „Accademia di Belle Arti” and graduated with honours.
Alongside his theatre career working at renowned European theatres and opera houses, Gilberto Giardini has always cultivated his love for painting and illustration. Gilberto’s love of the human form, his gift for expressing vitality and his astute observation of character, form the basis of this work. There is wide diversity in his illustrations, encompassing portraits and human form.
His paintings, illustrations and collages have appeared in solo and group exhibitions though-out the world (Germany, Switzerland, UK, USA and Canada).
Today he lives in Germany dividing his time between Cologne and Berlin.
