Biografia
I employ a brush hatching technique using acrylic and Japanese sumi ink, which I’ve invented and developed in recent years. This is also inspired by classic method of "disegno", based on drawing, established in Florentine school in early Renaissance era. Technically I’ve enhanced its conception combining with some latest neurological study, which revealed that human visual brain perceives objects by the oriented lines. This evidence might be a key element of showing the distance between painting and letter long hidden in the prehistoric age. In my practice, I attempt to gather the threads of "narrative" in creating textures of the ever-changing present moment, embodying semiotic images of our time.
I hope my work raises questions regarding the dignity and quality of life in understanding religious and ethical dilemmas across other scientific fields, what the potential might be of painting and drawing among numerous artistic expressions, and how to bridge East and West as well as great heritage and contemporary understanding.
