Biografia

Csortos worked as a photographer, copywriter, art director, and later on also as a creative director. He became acquainted with television productions as a producer of programmes.
In January 2000 he went to South-East Asia for an extended longer period of time. His first independent exhibition entitled „Angkor – Ruins in the Jungle” was compiled from his photos taken there. The exhibition was visited by more than 12,000 people in 3 weeks, including the former President of the Hungarian Republic, and the H.H.S. 14th Dalai Lama.
His first book entitled „Light Relations” was published in 2004. This book and two other series of photos were awarded the Honorable Mention at the International Photography Awards in Los Angeles. The book was selected for the collection of the British National Library (London). Sandor Csortos Szabo were awarded Honorable Mention at the International Photography Awards (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) and at the Px3 Prix de la Photographie Paris (2007, 2010).
