The films, photographs and installations of the artist always present a thorough study and arrangement of lights on the set, which also become the source for sculptural installations and photographic series.
In the last years, Senatore has been working with storytelling as a way to involve the public in the making of an art work.
In such projects, that take the form of collaborative films, written with groups of people (i.e. a group of rappers from NYC, in How do U kill the Chemist), often developed in collaboration with institutions as museums and universities, Senatore uses narrative as a place of exchange, where the viewer becomes participant, and the hierarchy between the artist as author and the public as recipient can be questioned and rewritten.
In other cases the public has been involved as producer of public projects, though a micro credit system that aims at creating an alternative and socially responsible economy for cultural production.
The artist takes the role of a facilitator.
The narrative of her films results of the interplay between fact and fiction; her work foster the construction of an archive of shared narratives that create a sense of community.
