A visual register of unavoidable thoughts

Photography puts a distance between our existence and the subject matter of the image that we are looking at. It causes us pain, indifference, or pleases our eye; there is an intriguing relationship between us as moving beings and the still contents of the image. My purpose is to give the viewer a chance to stop in front of his or her own intimacies through my images.

But there is still another layer to it, it is that subtle meaning hiding in the image that we know but can’t explain very often, the underline thought that is triggered by a visual spur, the feeling about things that we see and can’t avoid connecting to experiences of our own life.
Continuing with the storyline as a visual language, I take up narrative and tell stories to the spectator. I often find myself in front of images that are full of deliberation about our own humanity. Love, time, relationships, the day-to-day and other aspects of spirituality converge in my work, a visual register of unavoidable thoughts.
