Biografia
My art is an ongoing exploration of the use of paint as expressive language to seek my own truth. I am interested in paint as a medium to express aspects of the beauty and mysteries of our natural world. At times my subject is simply the beauty of paint itself in all of its glorious abstract variations. I use my visual language to create a lyrical dialogue between the paint and the canvas using my alphabet that includes exuberant color, texture, mark making, line and other elements. The process includes chance, letting go, knowing, not knowing, losing control and getting it back.
My paintings often contain deeply personal narratives, sometimes hidden even to myself, yet they continue to reveal themselves to me over time.
