Biografia
Born in France, in 1982, she is based in Paris.
For the past few years, Anne Bourse has lived and worked in Lyon, Berlin, Hamburg and Beirut, has been in residencies in Lisbon and Istanbul, then in Paris where her studio is now.
Transient and constellar, her drawings and installations originate in this mobility.
She currently shows her work in the Centre International d'Art et du Paysage in Vassivière, France. Recent exhibitions include Parc Saint Léger in Pougues les Eaux, Galerie Anne Barrault in Paris, Sic in Helsinki, Plataforma Revolver in Lisbon, Bikini and Galerie Roger Tator in Lyon.
"As when you are abroad and you want to tell and describe by emails to your friends - those who are far - what you go through…but you realize they could never feel or really touch what you tried to tell them. So you decide to accept that you can not really testimony, but on the other hand build, re-invent a new experience, not the one that you are trully going through but a kind of active place, through your memory to the field of art, like building History, an escape plan, a way to create a new ground, mixing ghosts, fictions, fake and real traces from the daily life and the collective memory. This is the kind of example that could define my desire of practicing art. "
