Biografia
Mengting Zhuo (b. 1990 in China) is interested in transmitting unspeakable feeling and sensation by choreographing gestures, imageries, sound, light, text and space. She makes theatre that is not dependent on text but made from a holistic approach, including performers and their speeches as part of the scenography, and that contains a conceptual twist. The frequent use of projection in her work forms part of her research on synchronology and reenactment. In her recent practice, she has been exploring the theme of identity with her experience as an ‘expat’ in London.
