Biografia
After graduating in Fashion and Textile design from Istituto Europeo di Design, Bulgarian born artist Silviya Y. D. Saikali started off her fashion career in Milan, working for Maison Moschino as a Creative graphic designer. In 2011, Silviya launched the luxury label Silviya NERI, combining her artistic skills and obsession for fashion. The brand’s extraordinary silk scarves are sold in 40 stores worldwide and have been featured in international publications such as Vogue Italia, Interni, WeAr Mag. Silviya's aim is to create artistic curiosities and wearable art that amuse and entertain the viewer/beholder, but mostly to create witty, ironic and meaningful pieces which illustrate the world we live in and are a lifetime investment to be passed on generations. Her inspirations come from the Victorian era, the natural cabinet of curiosities, antique and surreal worlds, Fetishism and tattoos.
