Biography

Born in Italy.
After graduating at the Artistic High School, she has attend the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (Accademia delle Belle Arti di Roma), where she become very proficient in all painting techniques as well as graphic and engravings techniques.
She guttered a great knowledge in Art history and modern Letters and demonstrated a particular interest in modern contemporary art.
In 1995 started a collaboration with company involved in the realization of stage paintings and sculptures for a variety of shows for companies such as The Opera Theater (Teatro Dell’Opera di Roma) , National Theater Teatro Nazionale di Roma), Rai (Radio Televisione Italiana) as well as decoration work in Italy and France ( Chateau de St. Tomas. Pais de la Loire)
Maria dedicated the vast majority of her professional life to Art conservation and restoration.
She mainly worked on the Restoration and conservation of buildings of artistic and historical interest.
Restored in fact frescoes, paintings, ornamental stones, stucco as well as metal and wooden artifacts in collaboration with Italian Cultural Heritage.
Some restorations were performed in St. Peter's Square (Piazza San Pietro Vaticano, Roma) in the Vatican, in the Royal Palace in Caserta (Reggia di Caserta), Royal Palace Naples (Palazzo Reale di Napoli) and many other sites of historical, artistic and archaeological value.
Through her many years of experience she achieved a profound knowledge of different styles, techniques and ancient materials, that has re- emerged in her unique painting style as an artist.
She currently lives and works between Italy and Greece.
