Biography

Sebastian Acker (born 1981) is a German artist currently based in London and Berlin. Since graduating from the Slade School of Fine Art, for which he received an AHRC Scholarship, he has been working across various mediums including sculpture, installation and video. He has been been awarded several Prizes and awards including the Nova Art Prize, the Land Securities Studio Award and the Duveen Travel Scholarship and has exhibited internationally. He has been a visiting lecturer at Chelsea College of the Arts and the Slade School of Fine Art and his work has featured in various publications including Hyperallergic, The Pacific Standard and Medium.
