Biography
Doris Himmelbauer is an Austrian photographer currently based in London. After five years of professional practice she started her MA in Fine Art Photography at Kingston University, where she graduated in 2015.
Working as a freelance photographer - mainly in commercial, fashion and editorial - Himmelbauer never lost track of her private projects which have a critical approach to photography in the digital era.
Himmelbauer has launched her first publication in the Asylum Chapel in Peckham 2015, followed by several exhibitions in and around London. Dealing with digital photography and appropriation art her latest work is about copyright, authorship and photography in the age of social media platforms.
