Biography

Since 1982 she has participated in over 275 national and international group exhibitions and 19 solo shows. Her artwork is part of important art collections in Europe and America. The International Sculpture Center, classified her as the professional sculptor whose chisel revitalizes ancient alabaster with a contemporary language. She has earned several awards, among which is worth noting her anthological Exhibition, a Tribute to her Sculptural Work by FUNSILEC, 2016 and many other recognitions, as the Guatemala Biennial Honorable Mention and the National School of Arts Unique Sculptor Prize. She also was chosen to exhibit in December and January 2016-17, at It’s Liquid, OXYGEN – FRAGMENTED CITIES+IDENTITIES at Jorge Jurado Gallery, Bogotá; at Contemporary Venice, Palazzo Flangini, and Labyrinths, Palazzo Ca’Zanardi, Venice, Italy. In February 2017, she participated in INGRAVIDEZ, exhibition at Jorge Jurado Art Studio, Bogotá, Colombia. In March 2017, she was awarded with the Dante Alighieri International Prize and participation in Biennale Peschiera del Garda in Verona, Italy. In April, she attained the International Goya Award at Barcelona Biennial in the Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona, Spain and at Caravaggio International Award Experience at Palazzo Bramante, Rome, Italy and at the Euroairpot Exhibition in Basel, Switzerland.
