Biography
Marco Mercati was born in Sansepolcro in 1986. After graduating at high school he signed up to study Law, he then left this Faculty to enroll at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, studying painting. After three and a half years he left the academy to begin his own personal research of style, avoiding, in his opinion, an unneeded dispersion of energy within a system which has become purely University structured, where obtaining college credits overrules the old laboratory logic.
His first exposition takes place in 2012 with his “Menarcaico” project, presenting his earliest creations during the years attending the academy.
