Artistic Approach
First of all, it’s research. My art moves in two directions: research of form and research of color. When I work with form, I have a rigid positioning form in mind for objects and their sizes – they are ideally positioned in their space and correlate with each other perfectly. In my research, I strive to try and shift the viewer’s thoughts away from the figures and through this barrier to the next level – the causality of their appearance and the idea behind it. This is the artist’s direct speech, one that hides behind muddled terms in artistic analysis – expression, sense, conflict, subtext...
I am fundamentally opposed to base aesthetics – art built upon mechanical and instinctive reactions such as disgust, fear, attraction and the like. This is unacceptable.
I take inspiration from such famous artists as Francis Bacon, Leonardo da Vinci, Mark Rothko
