Biography
I'm Laura Torlone,
visual artist and art teacher. Italian, I lived many years in Bologna, an adoptive city in which I trained and formed from 1996 to 2017, today I live and work in Pescara.
I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, I undertook training in pedagogical, graphic and multimedia areas. I worked in the animation world of cartoons, digital and traditional, and in that of graphics and programming.
Of a figurative matrix, on an artistic level I have always dedicated myself to drawing, illustration and caricature.
In the artistic-pictorial field I moved from figurative bases to increasingly abstract and material research, creating surfaces and dimensions oscillating between "romanticism" and informal.
In recent works I have merged the path on the material with a figurative sensibility, oriented towards the thought and the feeling linked to nature.
