Biography
Born in Sant'Agata Feltria on August 7th, 1957, Francesco Navacchi passed his childhood in constant contact with nature. Such relation with nature is reflected in his paintings, which mainly represent bucolic scenes and almost fairytale settings.
He was educated at the Fano Art School, where he soon stood out for his originality and his interest in the symbolic aspect of forms and the representation of all states of the human spirit: happiness and peacefulness, torment and restlessness. At school he won his first painting competitions. According to the standard vocational practice of the day he was educated in the studios of some 20th century renowned artists in Pesaro, where he learned how to compose and mix colours. Colours that soon became the main characteristic of his artworks.
Thanks to his variegated experience he is able to produce artworks using different painting techniques (oil, acrylic, pencil, pastel, crayon, Indian ink, etc.) on different materials (wood, glass, canvas, cardboard). His artworks are varied also in the choice of the subjects represented, which range from the reproduction of famous works of art to landscapes and cities, capitals of art and culture, such as the beautiful castles in the Valmarecchia, to fantasy style paintings, which embody the simple and creative spirit that always remained the main characteristic of his personality.
