Biography
Stefano Tedesco, born in 1966, is a musician and sound artist.
He is working with various media.
He moved to London in 2004 to develop his interest in the free improvisation, the experimental music and the sound art.
Stefano’s research is focused on sound and space.
His music is mainly of an electroacoustic nature and during his performances he aims to establish a dialogue between the music and the space within which he works.
Stefano’s music is experimental that explores silence, noise, live electronics, texture and abstract sound.
Main projects, residencies, installations, performances, collaborations;
-2009 project "Orchestra di Pietre Sonore" in wich he explores Pinuccio Sciola stone sculptures;
-2008 a residency with Francisco Lopez in the Amazon Forest, Brasil;
-2009 Amazzonica sound installation at Emergenze7, Italy;
-performed with David Toop, Phil Durrant, Rhodri Davies, Joe Williamson, Roger Turner, Otomo Yoshihide, Sachiko M, Tim Hodgkinson;
-member of the bands: Symbiosis Orchestra and Strings of Consciousness;
-performed with the canadian audio/video duo Skolz/Kolgen;
-works with video artist Riccardo Arena;
-performed in Norway, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, UK.
