Biography

I view my practice as a visual method of language exploration concerning definition. Therefore, I would say that I ‘test’ and develop visual language in drawing in two, three and four dimensions. This is in an interdisciplinary referential context across art and science. The physicality of materials, "praxical knowledge" plays a significant role in the emergent methodology of my practice. At the point of determining the outcomes, I like to incubate metaphoric vehicles that nourish the journey through my investigation. These are sometimes basic generic elements which I feel harbour philosophical structural relationships that when deconstructed can offer changes or shifts of significance and encompass paradox.
I like to produce work which is not pictorial but interactive and enables physical engagement and involvement. This includes print that becomes installed or portable or object based. This process mainly uses methods of contact printing that allows for accident and the balance of control with physical intervention. Other methods I am exploring, include web based work such as; thebreathofgod.net an electronic piece launched for observation that enables monotypes to be made within the shortest space of time that is, the reflex of the finger and the computer printer.
