Biography
Simona Morgantini is an artist dedicated to an original rewriting of yoga iconography, in close relation with contemporary holistic philosophy and environmental politics.
Her research (ARTE VIDYA) takes inspiration from olistic philosophy – a culture based on the idea of a dialectic balance between mind and body, rational and irrational thought, microcosm and macrocosm, art and science, technology and spirituality. From this vision proceeds her emphasis on environmental politics (in accordance with the interconnection between microcosm and macrocosm postulated by karma laws), democratic information, refusal of war, Gandhian pacifism, vegetarianism as a means to oppose consumerism and violence.
