Biography
There are many languages which have dissimilar text shapes and profound meanings. I yearn to use these text shapes as objects and contents in my work. I think texts are not only a powerful medium of communication; they can play a significant part as an art form, too. I started my experiments with portraying different texts from Hindi and Sanskrit languages and produced some paintings focusing on mantras (holy words for meditation) and folk songs of Indian culture. People chant mantras and sing/ listen to songs frequently in their life; therefore, I applied different texts and scripts repeatedly on the canvas, which makes a kind of inter-relationship between the text and the progression of an art work.
