Biography

I was born in Turin in 1953 and I live and work on the lake Maggiore in the north of Italy, next to Milan. I have attended Antonio De Venezia’ school of painting for fifteen years. I mainly paint in oils, but I also use acrylic paints and the mixed technique.
My pictures represent nature: flowers, still lives, landscapes. I am fascinated by the colour, with which I represent the feelings that nature gives me.
Other subjects of my paintings are the African people, particularly Masais warriors. I paint their bright coloured clothes, their long figures in oil paints, spreading them on the canvas with the spatule or the paintbrush.
They wrote about me: “the colour becomes preponderant in lines that draw the attention to the state of mind and the intimate strength of the artist; a sharp energy is noticeable, an explosion of feelings that becomes organic vitality”.
I took part in some painting contests, winning some prizes or placing me well.
I exhibited my works in several Italian cities: Milan, Turin, Bologna, Novara, Aosta, Bergamo, Rieti , and also abroad, for instance in Nice (France), Vienna (Austria), Brea (California).
