Biography
Mimmo Spadoni has been working for years as an artist and a photographer, focusing on the urban landscape. The leitmotif of his work, both color and black and white, is time. Since 1998 he has been involved in collective and personal exhibitionswith private and public galleries. Among his main works: “Underground” (in the collective “Passage comme une image” at the Mai Photographies , Quimper, France, 2000); a project about the old “Opg” in Reggio Emilia, jail for people with mental illness (photos published in “Il volto della follia”, Skira Palazzo Magnani, 2005-06); “Luzzara. Cinquant’anni e più…” (published by Skira in 2005, project together with Fabrizio Orsi, Marcello Grassi and Luciano Ligabue 50 years after the work by Cesare Zavattini and Paul Strand). His last work is “Of Time and Ice”, 2008-09. 2010 Berlin Expectations and shortlist Celeste Prize International New York.
