Biography

My practice is concerned with language, narrative and travel.

Technological advances and political changes over the last millennium have allowed large movements of population both internationally and within our own borders. In particular I am interested in how these changes affect the narratives that give us our sense of being and place.

The historical narratives with which we construct our views of the local, national and international have been and continue to be a capricious diasporas of events whose birthplaces are concealed in a distant past. These stories are constructed with language and so an understanding of language in all its forms is an integral part of my practice.

My practice informed by travel, narrative and language examines and reflects upon contemporary life.
