Biography

I work as a conceptual artist. I mostly paint and draw but I also like to sculpt. I have an interest in quantum physics and I am interested in the concept of the unseen. A lot of my work is about process whereby I use projected images to work from and which involves very little in terms of choice. It's a repetitive process, which requires much patience and determination, reflecting our own obsession with our environment and ourselves. Each repeated act works to strengthen the solidity of what we see and engraves it in our minds. I use the shadow to represent the seen and that which remains invisible to us. The space or the nothingness in-between objects seems to hold awesome power and answers to many profound questions. The deeper we look at things the more dynamic energy becomes. This fascinates me because at the most fundamental level, it is what binds us all together.
