Biography
MONE was born in the Museum „Wettbergscher Adelshof“, 1948 in Bad Münder, Germany.
She lives and works in her studios in Hamburg and Westerhever/North Sea, Germany.
She produces her works of art at all seashores of the world.
The artist MONE opens up the canvas in the North Sea, near her studio, presses it into the mudflats with her feet, folds, flexes and moulds it with her hands. Sand, water, wind and sun all influence the artist’s actions. The language of the elements and MONE's actions melt together, become one: spiritually and physically.
In her studio she is painting on the canvas out of the Sea with pigments. Water, sand and birds with their symbolic significance, play a central role in all paintings. MONE has selected the landscape on the North Sea coast so that she can realize her artistic and philosophic idea in the sea landscapes and with the power of the elements.
Her abstract works are the creative expression of abstract atmospheres, an abstract echo of the elements air, water, earth, light and the inner world of man. This is the idea of her concept of art: BLUE IDEA ®
