New Painting and new images
In the works of his latest years, the trascription of single figures has developed in narrative scenes. In the work called "Journey", the Artist moves from the immobility of "Portrait" to the dynamism of stories, to a diary of images and not of words. The title of this new series, explain clearly the choice of a theme dear to the Artist: the "Journey" like exscursus in the time and memory,in life and feelings, to put together, place and emotion, sometime chosen from the biografy of the Artist himself.
Salvia composes his images by picking out an archive of photos, newspapers, fashion magazines, book of designs, images of media and publibity, giving to his pictures the movement of a tale of images. Beside the theme of Journey the painting deals with the theme of meeting. The place of meeting is rebuilt in various detail, with views of towns, streets,rooms, flowerpots, and other situation of everyday life.
