Biography

Gaetano Fiore was born on the 3rd of November 1960 in San Giorgio, Cremano (Naples). In 1979, while he was studying at the Art Academy of Naples, he worked on scenography of the theatrical group Libera Scena Ensemble, directed by Gennaro Vitiello. In 1987, he worked on his first exhibition in Paris. In 1990 he undertook a professional study on abstract shapes following the example of Arp and Magnelli artists. In 1997, he knew Salvatore Emblema and, from that moment, his painting reflect a simplification in shapes where colors are the only elements to create spaces. From 1998 he is been painting in Italy and Germany, where he has his own atelier.
