Biography
Born in Reggio Emilia on 9th March 1984, Luca Bacchi at present lives in Parma and works in Boretto (RE). Fascinated by pieces of art created by his maternal grandfather and great grandfather’s, both painters and sculptors, Luca has always felt attracted by art, but for a long time he didn’t pay attention to his passion. After secondary school, he started working and just eight years later, he left for Australia, far away from his country and daily working routine. His stay last one year, and taught him to appreciate small details, simple things, himself…. Back home, let his art blossom and started working on installations even without any specific education nor training. For his pieces of art, he chooses recycled materials such as iron, tenax, termoglass and other “forgotten pieces” found in dumps, in order to take them back to life, under new shapes and filled with new meaning
