Biography
Characterized by a bold eclecticism, Anna Fusco’s aesthetic project feeds on myth, rite
and legend. An anthropological enquiry, capable of investigating man from the social,
cultural and physical point of view; his integration in society, his relationship with nature
and the environment. Often in her works one can recognize a symbolism of femininity, the
Great Mother, while the interest in everyday life, fears and desires, the cycle of birth and
death show a leaning towards an organic conception of the universe. The core of Anna
Fusco’s work dissolves in a playful, often interactive, aspect where the viewer becomes
the indispensable protagonist of the very process of creating sense in the work.
