Biography

I am a painter of human landscapes....

through the figure I try to grasp the real essence of human being. The bodies and faces that I paint are immersed in an atmosphere where time and space references seem to lack completely, because I think we should blend with the fundamental nature of life. We must go back to the prime dimension and look for our real being.

My work is influenced by many currents through time, above all German Expressionism....but the artists I find more influential are British painter Euan Uglow, Irish painter Hughie O'Donoghue, and of course my muse, Austrian painter Egon Schiele. My work has been exhibited in Mexico, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Spain, England and China.
