Biography
Existence, in any format, is ever between or amongst tenses of past and future. In our lifetime, possibly further, we are responsible for the alignment and interaction of these time frames, as the results will ultimately define both tenses. Even if time never existed, chronology would be inevitable influencing events, which have yet to happen;unable to undo what has been done. In my art-making, I consider my action a link between what has been and what will be.
My work investigates themes of analogue and digital interactivity while visually and conceptually addressing memory, personal documentation, post-modern notions of nostalgia, obsoleting, community, relationship, and archivism.
Our future will become past inevitably. Given the advancement of technology, we have the responsibility to contribute to a collective visual memory and dialogue, and to help all observers do the same. This work is about time and feeling less insignificant in the face of it.
