Biography
Rodney Samuelson (Rodney S.) is an American artist who has been living and working in Barcelona, Spain since 1987.
He grew up in Southern California, participating in the early L.A. punk underground music scene creating flyer-art for many bands and concerts, some of which have been anonymously published in books about the subject.
After finishing his studies at CalArts, he lived and worked in the Downtown L.A. art scene, before setting off for New York.
Rodney worked as a Studio Assistant to the artist Robin Winters in New York City from 1984 to1987 in the years before moving to Spain.
His works are brief, poetic meditations on life itself, created with a child-like sense of wonder that is tempered by the wisdom gained through age.
