Biography

Sophie Clements is a visual artist working specifically in relation to sound and music. Graduating from the RCA in 2005, her work comprises of a/v installation, sound/film works, and live collaborative work with musicians, all unified by her approach to the ‘visualisation’ of sound, and the expression of the two languages of sound and visual as a singular voice.
Her recent collaborative work includes the sculptural audio-visual piece ‘Of Air and Ear’ with Scanner, performed at the Royal Opera House, a live video piece with Tal Rosner for composer Thomas Adés, and ongoing work with musician J.Peter Schwalm.
