Biography

BARTHOLOMÉO’s work could plainly be characterized by obvious modern influence and a feeling for urban and indistrial life. Inscribed in the movement originated by the famous A.Wahrhol, Basquiat, Keith Harring’s factory (New York, 1963-70), the artist questions about conformism, repetitive manufacturing, modern communication. But the most striking aspect of his paintings is his free and expressive marks which call up to Polock’s gestural drips. These exuberances disrupt a premiered notion of form and allow a more profound access to the meaning of his work. This is the sory of a painting, like powerfull of an artist dis-arranging his world.
