Biography
Elisa Rossini was born in May 1986; in 2005 she took a diploma at Liceo Artistico in Busto Arsizio, on 13th July 2009 she graduated from Accademia di Belle Arti in Brera, Milan, with a degree thesis whose title was “Gregor Mendel and I, through Hanne Darboven and Agnes Martin”.
“My research is based on observation, registration, classification and cataloguing of everything I see.
Given a set, I find similarities and differences, reducing everything to next to nothing.
I usually take my cue from nature, for example fruit and flowers, but also from situations that bear in mind groups of people or themes that portrays them.
My analysis takes time and is always expressed in a different way, since the research itself suggests that I should use paper rather than glass,
drawing rather than photography, sound rather than multimedia images.
