Biography

Born in 1981 in Germany. He is a Moviemaker living in Berlin and started his career when he was 17 years old first as a photographer exploring his love for creativity. To go beyond the confines of photography and reach a larger audience, he decided in 2002 to experiment with short films.

After shooting his first short film he entered a festival and ended up winning first place, which gave him the motivation to keep going with his vision. His next film “Fliegenpflicht für Quadratköpfe“ , won more than 50 national and international prizes. With the awarded money prize and the royalties for screening his films in France, Spain, Canada and Australia, he could afford to study at the HFBK University of Fine Arts in Hamburg which he started at 2004.

Alongside his short film projects he started to work for Television in 2006 creating for instance the opening visuals of Comedy Central. He has been a jury member at the most important animation festival in Nancy, France.

His specialty and passion is Stop Motion / Pixilation. As one can well see exemplified, inside his participation on this project!
