Biography

I largely work with the synthetic image. I like to recreate impossible worlds, but also photorealistic images that testify moments of daily life, associated with memory and remembrances. 3D may simulate real worlds, achieving so realistic a result that it comes to merge into reality or – on the opposite side – tends to detach itself from reality to the point of looking like evidence of faraway worlds: 3d invents worlds, virtually unlimited worlds, that may be crossed and explored from any point of view.
I work with the state-of-the-art technologies and software, keeping in touch with electronic engineers and experts: nevertheless, I always try to combine the technological side of my work with a lyrical one: it is the eternal encounter-clash between art and science. I do believe that these two aspects can meet on a common ground, that of beauty, sensitivity, humanity.
This is the reason why I use 3D in order to recreate a garden, a field of poppies, the light filtering through my room’s window.
Manuality is a necessary feature of my work because it is part of myself: in the first phase of my work I draw a lot, I write, I turn my ideas into notes. Meanwhile I seek to envisage the
