Biography
Born in Naples in 1971 Massimo Pastore began his artistic career as autodidact and in 1997 decided to dedicate himself to photography, working at first as an assistant in a developing and printing photo lab and later as an assistant photographer. In 1999 he had his first solo exhibition in Naples “Di Luce Propria” establishing himself as a portrait photographer. As part of his artistic research he started to collaborate with Fondazione Banco di Napoli for Assistance to Children by organizing b/w development and printing photography classes targeted at socially disadvantaged children. In 2003 he graduated in photography at IEAO of Perugia then followed several photography workshops. In 2006 he created with Antonio Maiorino PrimoPiano Napoli, a gallery committed in the research and exposition of artists who work with photography, as well as a personal and collective lab.
He exhibited his works in several collective and solo exhibitions in Italy, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Morocco…
