Biography
The works of Francesco represent places within the mind. They are the artistic representation of thoughts, reasoning, conjecture, and above all, the internal search for one’s own spirituality. Oriental philosophies, together with the studies at the fore of modern physics, remove the certainty of the consistency of the mental model of the material world and, at the same time, give us the possibility to embrace a greater vision of the whole universe. The practice of Qigong, in which Francesco has been a master for a number of years, puts us in contact with non conventional forms of energy and gives us a wider perspective of the world. The distorted geometrical forms give an image which can seem to be post-cubist. But if a classification is required of the artist’s works, then we should talk about surrealism and metaphysics. Painting is a result of the need to express concepts. For Francesco colours and forms can express a vision of metaphysical reality better than any essay. The feelings that he wants to arouse in the viewers derive from the need to communicate in an unconventional meta-modelling of the cosmos.
