Biography
Early writings, pictures and Super-8 films influenced by Surrealism. 1978-82 studied at Academy of Fine Arts in Bari (Italy). After the Academy of Fine Arts studies, Pio Schena has been working in the underground film industry and in the visual art as painter since 1980, specifically on the relationship between music and film. Together with the writer Nico Bizzarro, he founded the Clark Nova production unit in 1993 to explore the relationship between artist and audiovisual material. Since then has worked as a freelance film director and musician. 1995 founded the film production and musical band Serial Killer together with other musicians and participated at many film festival and music festivals.
He works as visual artist and musician in Bari, Italy.
