Biography
Alberto Petrò was born in Brescia nel 1980. He started studying Cinema at D.A.M.S. University in Brescia, but his passion is photography. He attended a photography course at Ken Damy Museum and began to work as assistant for Rinaldo Capra and Hugh Findletar. Thanks to them he started to work in the darkroom, that is still essential part of his work. In 2001 started to register a big private collection of photography, MR Collection, without stopping working with professional photographers. In 2003 took part to Toscana Foto Festival, attending the course of instant photography by Maurizio Galimberti. In 2006 he achieved an atelier at Tacheles Arthouse in Berlin. After almost two years in Berlin, he moved to Marseille. Back to Italy he also worked as DP (director of photography) and in 2011 he opened his own studio in Brescia. He exhibits in personal and collective shows in Italy and Europe since 2002. He survives in Italy.
