Biography
Artist working with installation, sculpture, painting, photography, printmaking. Have exhibitied in England, Belgium and France since 1989. Recent commissions include photographic installations 'Slow News' for arts centre gallery, Chatellerault, France and 'Flux' for a conference room in a Tours, plus mixed international exhibitions in France including Paris and UK. I live and work in the countryside and often make site specific installation using found objects and various materials which i combine, for example recent installation 'Feast' images at artists.de/samuellee.html have involved the use of man made and natural materials. Inspired by spiders and ecological angst. New installation called Anemones 2011. new print editions 'Angel at My Table' released 2011.
I have also worked as a printmaker in two major arts studio's (England and Paris) with artists such as Howard Hodgkin, Gillian Ayres, Joe Tilson, Ar Penck, Victor Pasmore, Patrick Hughes, jaume Plensa, Jose Maria Sicilia among others.
