Biography
Lives and works in Rome, Italy since 1975. Antonio Arévalo is a cultural promoter, an independent curator and a poet. Arévalo is an ironic provoker, sensible to the evolution of taste and customs; since many years, his work is discover and promoter new talents, with particular attention to new experimentation in artistic language. He has organized several international exhibitions and cultural events in important institutions, museums, and galleries in Italy, Chile, France, Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, USA, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Sweden and the Check Republic.
Appointed curator for Chilean pavilion to the 49th Venice Art Biennale (Mention of Honor from the International Jury).
Appointed curator for the III Biennale Adriatica Arti Nuove in year 2006, San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy.
Curator for Chilean pavilion to the 52th Venice Art Biennale.
