Serena Di Paola’s Biography
My name is Serena di Paola, I was born in Palermo the 27th of November 1986. My educational path has been made at the Academy of Fine Arts "Abadir" in San Martino delle Scale, Palermo, where I graduated with the highest scores in pictorial restoration in 2012. The following years gave me the opportunity to improve my technical skills, in particular, in the use of oil and watercolor techniques. In 2013, I was selected as finalists at the "Arte Mondadori" award by exposing my work "Chi aspettiamo - Who do we wait?" at the Permanente of Milan. In November 2017, I was selected at the “Second Biennale Internazionale d’arte e cultura – RomArt, Roma”, exposing at the Stadio di Domiziano, my work titled “Ballerina”, watercolor on paper. My work’s subjects are those that allow me to play with strong contrasts of color, or with the accentuated play of light and shadow.
