Biography
I am at ease with the decayed and drawn to old and crumbling things, captured by what changes, dying and, then, of necessity, coming back to life.
My works are carried out on recycled material, hand-me-down doors, iron and paper scraps.
The material used is initially broken down to a temporary rough-hewn reality and then shaped back to life, in an alternation of techniques in which the reuse of the material is decisive. I build on, break down, carve, incise, work on the original chromatic and structural features of the objects intended to be reused once again.
Desolated outskirts, run down industrial sites and factories, human beings left alone or feeling lonely, old rusty trains, thus these become the subjects of my work.
