Biography
Kyrahm is a body artist, actress, live artist,performer and videoart director of the Italian underground scene,museums,galleries, cinema and international festivals. The "Human Installations" are apocalyptical performances with a strong emotional impact. "Among her works “Human installation 0:Chrysalis”she was closed up in a cocoon for 27 hours in the middle of a square of Rome and was looked after by her own mother night and day.The happening ended when Kyrahm heading for the theatre where she recovered on stage.In “Human InstallationII:Life Cycle“:a18 day old baby suddenly cries,elderly people show their aged bodies.The 18 day old baby is one of the youngest actors in the history of theatre and Performance Art.R32;In 2009 Kyrahm created this performance and in2011Lady Gaga presents a very similar performance.For Kyrahm meeting Ron Athey was essential to the realization of "Human InstallationIII:Sacrifice"a performance between extreme body art and Christian iconography."Human Installation I:“Obsolescence of gender"was selected as one of the 30 best performances in the world in the USA,and won with other 3 performance out of over 300 from all over the world at the competition for performances at the “Premio Arte Laguna”in2009.The performance"The Jeweler"was successfully presented as an accompanying event to Blue Wedding at the Biennale of Venice 2009 .Her performances are also in videoart versions, and paintings."Trittico - Human Installations II III I" combines in a single performance all her research and won the 2010 online vote for the Celeste Prize International (New York) category for live media and performance."EX CORPORE"is made of the original props used byinternational artists ."Trittico - Human Installations II III I" won the online vote of Celeste Prize 2010.
