Biography

Her style has developed through various figurative experiences – portrait, landscape and still life.
She has employed all different graphic and pictorial techniques concentrating on watercolour and fresco.
She has recently been experimenting with acrylic colour, which allows her to reproduce the transparency of watercolour.
Her style, focused on naturalistic depiction, takes inspiration from artistic movements of the past such as Romanticism and Impressionism, but it is also influenced by Expressionism and the more recent Informal Art and Abstractism.
In depicting landscape she exalts the emotional and poetical value of natural phenomena. In some cases she goes beyond reality into abstraction to boost the light and chromatic effects of the forms which nevertheless maintain their characteristic features.
