Biography
C. Callari was born in August 1958, in the land of sun and colors, amidst the perfume of orange blossom and citrus fruit trees in splendid Sicily. Since her childhood she has shown a passion for painting and drawing. At the age of 16 she goes to Switzerland with her family and attends painting and glass engraving courses and holds her first exhibitions in the city of Winterthur (ZH). Once she obtains Swiss citizenship she is able to attend local artistic circles. During the 1980s, she returns to Sicily and takes up studying again by attending the Ceramics Arts School in Caltagirone (CT). She becomes one of the promoters of de “Lo Speco di Efesto”, an association founded by the late G.Valenti during the 1980s in Niscemi. Ms. Callari attends Valenti’s Art Boutique for 3 years. She has painted several murals and Trompe-l’oeil in public and private places. Ms. Callari holds painting and ceramic courses for children, teenagers and adults in her home town. Since 1982 she has held several personal exhibitions and has participated in others around Italy and abroad, with ample recognition from the public and critics.

Her figures reveal her harmonious composition, rich in emotional references. Each one of her works vibrates with personal intuition, able to draw together nature, characters and a rich palette that exalts her gestural character.
