Biography
Jonathan re-creates enigmatic surfaces as if they were vibrant patterns throbbing between figurative reality and abstract drift. The matrix is flat in style and aptitude, with clean brush strokes and sharply bold outlines which lend definition to the bright colours. The result has an immediate impact with subsequent semantic ambiguity. Pannacciò creates a landscape of the mind’s chemistry, a synthesis wherein ideas are formalized through shape and sound. The shapes have an inner pulse of their own and appear to move like magnified details of a miniature, organic landscape which is transformed into a realistic, ordinary geography, both symbolic and perceivable. Confirmation of an uncontrollable dynamism between the brain and the external world. (Gianluca Marziani)
